Security vendor Trend Micro has named its top-performing ANZ channel partners for 2019.
Dicker Data was awarded distributor of the year, while DXC took home the hybrid cloud security partner of the year. Brisbane-based Content Security meanwhile was named security partner of the year.
New Zealand-based Computer Concepts Limited took the fourth company award for the night, namely MSP partner of the year.
Speaking to CRN, Trend Micro ANZ managing director for commercial Ashley Watkins said the winners were critical to the growth and development of security across the ANZ space.
“From the sales side, there were people that have worked and really looked for the needs and requirements of what the clients were requiring,” Watkins said. “From a security standpoint, really challenging what the security standards are. These people are a good reflection of what the channel can bring to ANZ and I hope we see a lot more that will come from that.”
Trend Micro also handed out individual awards, with Peter Lyons of Insight winning the Top Gun - Sales Award, while Anshul Pandey from Content Security taking home the Top Gun – Technical Award.
“We value each and every one of our partners for their support in delivering the most innovative and integrated security solutions to our customers – whether it’s for cloud, network, endpoint, or hybrid environments,” Trend Micro ANZ head of partnerships and alliances Evan Thomas said.
“We are thrilled to celebrate our award winners and nominees for their impact to our business.”
Thomas said 2019 has been “a significant year” for the vendor, with the launch of new products like Apex One, Cloud One, and XDR, as well as its acquisition of Aussie startup Cloud Conformity in October.
“As we move into 2020 with these capabilities and our customers face an even more complex and multifaceted threat landscape, we are confident that our strong partner ecosystem will be integral to helping them to prevent and defend against these threats,” Thomas added.
