Management consultants Deloitte Australia has won a tender issued by the New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice, to provide support, maintenance and enhancement of the agency's Federated Analytics Platform (FAP).
DCJ aims to be a data-enabled agency with decisions being based on evidence and timely high-quality information being available.
As part of that goal, the FAP which was introduced in 2021 with DCJ, is used as a business intelligence tool, for program analysis and statutory reporting.
Featuring visualisation tools and advanced analytics capabilities, the FAP sources data from multiple areas to consolidate information across DCJ.
This includes data from service delivery agencies.
The FAP can enable insights, contributing to more targeted decision-making, policy formulation and intervention strategies, while maintaining strict data privacy and security.
Furthermore, information from multiple service streams is aggregated to track outcomes for clients, supporting services to be designed to improve the lives of children, adults, families and communities.
The FAP primarily runs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with associated visualisation tools.
