Datacom will also provide data centre hosting and desktop support to all of Aussie Home Loans’ employees, Aussie Mortgage Advisors and Aussie Home Loans Franchise holders.
Mark McWilliams, managing director at Datacom NSW, said Aussie Home Loans tendered for the work in late March.
“Based on a leveraged, shared services model, we give the customer complete openness and transparency of pricing. We have made a commitment to Aussie to improve the service cost ratio 5 percent year-on-year,” he said.
According to McWilliams, key technologies Datacom will deploy in support of the Aussie environment includes; CA Service Desk – Call Management Platform; Aspect and Cisco telephony; network services management; spectrum network monitoring; E-Health to check on network performance; and portals for Aussie to see real time IT infrastructure performance.
James O’Donnell, Aussie's CIO, claimed the company’s operations span mainland capital cities and major regional centres across the country, with a team of more than 700 staff and mortgage advisers nationwide.
“We awarded them the contract because of their clear and extensive technical capability, the openness and transparency of its contract process and they had a real passion for our business, which is broking not IT,” he said.
