Data#3 wins Microsoft support contract with the Attorney-General's Department

Data#3 has been awarded a contract by the Federal Attorney-General's Department to provide Microsoft support services.

The $3 million contract runs from July 2019 to June 2022, covering the purchase of Microsoft Software Assurance for non-desktop software licences.

A department spokesperson told CRN the services include support and maintenance of Microsoft server licences, online services and other Microsoft products.

The contract was awarded through the Whole of Government Microsoft Volume Sourcing Arrangement (VSA), where Data#3 is the sole supplier.

“The DTA signed an agreement with Data#3 to act as the sole provider (known as the Licensed Solutions Provider) for government agencies using this arrangement,” the spokesperson said.

“Agencies using the VSA must buy non desktop software licencing products and services from Data#3.”

Data#3 has been the federal government's exclusive Microsoft licence reseller (LSP) since 2008 as part of the volume sourcing arrangement (VSA), recently renewing the agreement in March 2018.
