Two Australian organisations have been named in Cisco’s annual Smart Services awards for the Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC) region, with systems integrator Data#3 scoring a nod in the partner category.
The awards were held at Cisco’s Partner-Led conference in Bangkok. They highlight innovation and success among Cisco’s channel and customers.
Data#3 was named Cisco’s Australia and New Zealand Smart Services partner of the year, while shipping giant TNT Australia took out the Smart Services vendor of the year award for A/NZ.
Data#3 in April became one of the first Australian partners to sign with Cisco’s Intelligent Automation for Cloud (CIAC) solution, in response to growing demand for flexible and DIY cloud provisioning locally.
The company is a Cisco gold partner in Smart Services. It said today it plans to further invest in Cisco’s Smart Services through its Maintenance Solutions business, where it has incorporated Smart Services with its existing Cisco maintenance portfolio.
Troubled manufacturing behemoth Foxconn took out the award for best Smart Services vendor in the Greater China region. The company has been working to repair its image as a sweatshop by raising salaries for workers at its plants and halving the probation period for new workers.
Cisco said in a statement it was proud to partner with so many well-respected and industry-leading organisations in the region.
