Data#3 joins forces with mobile app developer

National solutions provider Data#3 has announced a partnership with Australian mobile applications company BlinkMobile.

"With the ability to rapidly develop and deploy applications at significant scale, the industry-leading BlinkMobile platform, combined with Data#3’s broad expertise, enables our customers to be productive anywhere, at any time,” said Data#3 general manager for application solutions Bruce Crouch.

Gosford-based BlinkMobile, which develops mobile applications aimed at the enterprise market, has had a relationship with Data#3 going back one year. But BlinkMobile director and chief sales officer Anthony Harris said the formalisation of the alliance was a tremendous show of faith.

"As a somewhat smaller Australian company who has invested heavily in R&D and is now gaining worldwide recognition, it is gratifying to receive the support and confidence of a significant organisation like Data#3," said Harris.

The two companies recently joined forces to develop, deploy and support software for remote field workers for an undisclosed government department.

BlinkMobile, established in 2005, won the Best Enterprise Mobility Solution award at this year's Cloud World Series Awards in London.

Last month Brisbane-headquartered Data#3 took majority ownership of wi-fi analytics provider Discovery Technology.
