IT integrator Data#3 won a contract with the QLD Government to help it manage million of dollars worth of computer software assets.
Under the two-year contract worth more than $8 million, Data#3 would work with the Office of Government ICT and agency staff to review the software asset management processes within each agency and then work with them to bring them in line with industry standards.
Data#3 would keep a whole-of-government software licence register and operate a licensing helpdesk to assist government staff with licensing and audit queries.
Robert Schwarten, QLD's Minister for Public Works, Housing and Racing, said the use of computers and the associated software is vital for the Queensland Government to deliver services to the Queensland community.”
Data#3 boss John Grant said the company was delighted to have been selected for the contract.
“We have a proven track record in working for the Queensland Government and in the software asset management area – as such we’re looking forward to working in partnership with the Queensland Government on this initiative,” he said.
