CyberCert has validated the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform against all levels of the SMB1001 cybersecurity standard.
The validation confirms that MSPs using the platform can help their SMB clients meet the requirements for certification.
CyberCert provides a range of certifications that SMBs can purchase to demonstrate their compliance with Dynamic Standards International’s SMB1001 standard.
The SMB1001 standard is designed to give SMBs a practical path to demonstrate compliance with government, enterprise, and insurer expectations.
MSPs play a key role in the expansion of CyberCert as a globally recognised stamp of approval for small business security posture, chief executive Ryan Ettridge previously told techpartner.news.
On the Acronis partnership, Etteridge said the collaboration simplifies the certification process by aligning the technical controls required for SMB1001 within a single, integrated platform.
The platform includes integrated backup, recovery, endpoint protection (EDR/XDR/MDR), RMM, email security, patch management, vulnerability assessment, and Microsoft 365 security posture management.
Acronis chief information security officer Gerald Beuchelt said the validation enables MSPs to “deliver enterprise-grade cybersecurity and certification in the most accessible way for SMBs”.
