CyberArk Secure Browser achieves SOC 2 Type 2 compliance

Identity security provider Cyberark's Secure Browser has achieved Service Organisation Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 compliance certification.

It is a rigorous compliance framework and auditing procedure developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Unlike the Type 1 certification which only examines the design of security controls at a specific point in time, Type 2 is more comprehensive.

It evaluates the effectiveness of those controls over a longer period, typically 6-12 months, to ensure they consistently operate as intended.

CyberArk Secure Browser stands as the industry's first identity-centric secure browser, designed specifically for distributed workforces and unmanaged endpoints.

"CyberArk Secure Browser is key for CyberArk customers looking to protect sensitive enterprise data throughout the entire user journey and access lifecycle, at the point of login and beyond," Peretz Regev, chief product officer at CyberArk, said.

The browser provides organisations with a centralised and secure launchpad to all resources and applications, whether on-premises or software-as-a-service-based.

Its intelligent privilege controls help minimise risks from compromised identities, endpoints, web sessions and credentials both at login and during active sessions.

A key feature of the solution is its ability to safeguard against pre- and post-authentication threats, including cookie theft and session takeover attempts.

Organisations using CyberArk Secure Browser can protect sensitive data while still allowing access from unmanaged endpoints and meeting compliance requirements.

The solution helps security teams maintain visibility and control across every workforce identity and endpoint throughout the enterprise.

CyberArk's AI-powered Identity Security Platform applies intelligent privilege controls to identities with continuous threat prevention, detection and response capabilities.
