Queensland-based cybersecurity provider Cube Cyber’s has opened its Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Brisbane.

The Cube Cyber centre represents a strategic move to strengthen Australia’s incident response capabilities and reduce reliance on offshore cybersecurity providers.

The SOC provides 24/7 coverage and is powered by vendors including SentinelOne, Netskope and Illumio which provide Managed Detection and Response (MDR), incident triage, escalation, and coordinated action, all powered by a local team of analysts and engineers.

Cube Cyber co-founder Andrew O’Shea said the company didn’t build this SOC to tick a compliance box.

“We built it to help businesses and public sector agencies respond with clarity, speed and control when it counts," he said.

"This centre gives Australian organisations direct access to a local team that can detect threats early, escalate issues fast, and help them build a response plan that actually performs under pressure.”

Cube Cyber’s managed portfolio now spans Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Hybrid SOC, Microsoft Security, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, and Cybersecurity Awareness training, with customers across finance, healthcare, government, energy, and retail.

Alongside its SOC operations, Cube Cyber has developed a Professional Services business, delivering consulting engagements for government and enterprise organisations.
