Perth's CSO Group and Canberra's xAmplify have announced the outcome of their strategic merger, rebranding as MARQ1.
The merged entity is set to become the country's largest home-grown integrated cyber security and artificial intelligence (AI) services group, with the new brand to launch on October 1, 2024.
MARQ1 will have a workforce of over 160 cyber, automation, and AI specialists.
The company aims to provide a comprehensive suite of services spanning strategy, governance, risk and compliance, managed security, AI, and both technology and business automation services.
As part of the merger, executive changes were announced:
Michael Simkovic, current chief executive of CSO Group, will lead MARQ1 in the same role, overseeing the group's strategic direction.
Wayne Gowland, chief executive of xAmplify, will assume the role of chief operating officer, focusing on operations and sales.
Other key leadership changes include Howard Fyffe being appointed as chief revenue officer (National), while Tom Scicluna will serve as chief revenue officer (Federal).
Meanwhile, Daniel Keys, former Department of Health CIO, will take on the role of head of strategy - AI and automation.
