CSC will use business intelligence technology from Australian company eMite to help customers make sense of customer-generated data repositories.
To be incorporated under CSC’s service management maturity program, eMite’s technology was used by the global outsourcer to unify metrics across systems-monitoring tools from the likes of CA and EMC and BMC’s IT service management tools and reporting data warehouse from IBM.
CSC said eMite allowed for the automation of these processes while it also used metrics to deliver information relevant to business managers in minutes.
And it said it was the only major outsourcing provider holding the ISO-IEC 20000 certification for IT services delivery and is investing in platforms for the delivery of what it called "customer intimacy".
Headquartered in Sydney with an office in the US, eMite was recently highly commended in the small exporter category at the 2010 NSW Premier’s export awards run by the Australian Institute of Export.
It counted the likes of insurers QBE and Allianz among its customers.
