CRN Pipeline: IT channel growth drivers and future-proofing vendor portfolios on agenda
Trevor Clarke, Tech Research Asia

Tech Research Asia’s (TRA) Trevor Clarke will present the latest CRN-TRA 100:100 survey of Australian IT buyers’ and channel partners’ changing priorities, and advise partners on choosing a more profitable vendor portfolio when he takes the stage at the 2024 CRN Pipeline conference.

Taking place from August 13-15 at the 5-star Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast, CRN Pipeline will feature two keynotes by Clarke.

Clarke’s first Pipeline keynote, titled “Evolution of the IT Channel Landscape in 2024”, will reveal the CRN-TRA 100:100 survey findings about changes in customers’ needs and the latest growth drivers of partners’ businesses. This data will be based on surveys of 100 Australian end-user organisations and 100 Australian IT channel partners.

The survey comes amid a transition period for the IT channel, with some partners breaking out of traditional boxes to try and be stickier with customers and improve profitability.

At CRN Pipeline, Clarke will also speak to channel firms about “Strategically Selecting Your Vendor Portfolio for Tomorrow's IT Landscape”.

Vendor portfolio complexity is hampering some channel firms’ growth and ability to keep customers happy.

Choosing a more effective vendor lineup requires strategic thought. Partners might consider vendor consolidation and product stack unification, pricing changes, ramifications of vendor acquisitions, marketplace evolution and emerging growth drivers such as use of GenAI.

Clarke’s talks at CRN Pipeline 2024 will be part of a dynamic three days of expert talks, panel discussions, roundtables and networking designed to help attendees adapt to channel change.

Day one of the event, on August 13, will focus on the evolution of the channel and market landscape, including the next phase of the AI opportunity, transformative partner business models and next-gen alliances with distributors.

Day two will unpack the evolution of partners’ businesses, including advanced security practice offerings and approaches, how to choose more profitable vendor stacks, and new dynamics in sales, marketing and staffing.

On day three, the focus will be on attendees’ personal professional evolution, including how to cope and be more productive as a business leader and manager.

The CRN Pipeline agenda will have a strong balance between on-stage content, dynamic networking experiences and time to engage in one-on-one meetings and deal with business.

Guest will have the opportunity to have meetings in the resort, network pool-side, in tailored networking activities, at the 2024 Impact Awards gala dinner, and at more networking activities to be announced shortly.
