CRN Exclusive: Apple reseller hits the wall
After 15 years of trading NSW-based Apple reseller Total Recall Solutions has hit the wall, with the reseller closing its doors due to credit pressure.

TRS owner Adam Connor said the business was forced into administration before Christmas 2006. However he was unable to meet his supplier’s request to bring his accounts up-to-date.

“When I couldn’t straighten the accounts, the supplier put us in receivership and called for expressions of interest in the business. When it couldn’t find a buyer it shut us down,” he said.

Connor said he is still offering services to make sure his customers aren’t left in the lurch. Customers can still call up TRS for free tech support on products purchased, advice on what to buy your local Mac, advice on where to buy Mac stuff, help with onsite service, and advice on where to take broken stuff.

He said the closure of TRS has come as bit of a shock as he thought the business was doing okay.

“I am disappointed by what happened. We were in the process of turning things around and I am disappointed with the supplier. They set us up to hit the wall,” said Conner.

“We were proud of our achievements and even though we had some difficult in trading I felt we were doing much better.”

Connor said he will now take some time out and think about his next step. However he will also be able to spend some time with his newborn son.

However he said “I doubt I will be going into business selling Apple again.”
