Publicly listed marketing and communications company Salmat has acquired digital commerce agency Netstarter.
The acquisition gives Salmat access to eBay's Magento platform, which the company said would complement its Hybris enterprise solution.
More than 200,000 businesses use the Magento platform, said Salmat.
Netstarter has the largest team of Magento Certified Plus developers globally, with clients including Dick Smith, Breville, Lorna Jane and The Athletes Foot.

Salmat chief executive Peter Anson said the acquisition would enable it "to offer digital commerce solutions that are adaptable for SMEs through to enterprise-level businesses. This is an exciting milestone for Salmat Digital, which strengthens our unique market leadership position.
"Many Australian businesses still have no online sales channel and we believe Salmat can be the best strategic partner.
"Importantly we can support the needs of our clients as they change and our leading service offering will provide a clear migration path that will give them the ability to adjust their e-commerce strategy in accordance with the pace of their growth and online presence," added Anson.
