Housden has 35 years experience in the financial industry, crossing a number of industries including manufacturing (BHP and Metal Manufactures), resources(Esso, RGC Ltd, Zinifex), chemicals (Aust Chemical Holdings), transport (Pacific National) and professional services (MIA Group).
As Housden joins the Commander team, nonexecutive directors Neil Martin McDermott and Bill Scales have resigned from the Board.
Chairman, Elizabeth Nosworthy, thanked Messrs McDermott and Scales for their contribution to the company.
The announcement follows the resignation of former managing director Adrian Coote and the departure of chief operations officer, Lakshman Mawalagedera(chief operating officer) and Carl Russett (chief financial officer).
Commander’s acquisition of data service provider Volante in 2005 was supposed to herald a new era for the voice and data industry.
