Cisco joins Dell in NBN Co's SMB migration support program

NBN Co has reached an agreement with networking giant Cisco to provide support for business customers migrating to the network, following an earlier agreement with Dell EMC.

The partnership involves joint education and engagement activities with small and medium businesses, in conjunction with NBN Co’s program distributors.

“Small and medium businesses play a crucial role as the backbone of our Australian economy and Cisco is committed to supporting them on their digitisation journey,” Cisco ANZ segment leader for SMB Nykaj Nair said.

“We are pleased to be working with NBN Co to help accelerate SMBs ability to connect, digitise, scale to global markets and grow their business.”

NBN Co general manager for business channels Keith Masterton said the company’s ICT channel program now has representation from more than 670 IT companies with 195 accredited NBN advisors.

“We look forward to working with Cisco to provide support for their business customers migrating to the NBN broadband access network and help them to leverage transformative solutions to grow their operations,” Masterton said.

“From here, we expect to increase our collaboration with ICT vendors to deliver packages and solutions to support Australian small and medium businesses as they transition and transform over the NBN access network.”
