Cirrus Networks has won a $5 million contract with the federal government to provide storage-as-a-service.
The three-year deal was revealed in a notice posted to the ASX by the Perth-headquartered service provider, which said it won the tender with a “significant federal government agency” by providing a cost-effective solution and “unique OPEX-based consumption charging model”. The notice did not name the government agency.
The agency will be charged monthly for storage services over the term, with the total value for that period expected to be in excess of $5 million.
Cirrus managing director Matt Sullivan said the MSP was delighted to have won the tender.
“The Canberra office team continue to win key contracts with their ability to demonstrate innovative value-based solutions for clients. It is particularly pleasing to have demonstrated the benefits of our unique consumption-based charging model as the storage-as-a-service structure becomes an important part of our market offering,” he said.
Cirrus’ Canberra office is made up of the MSP formerly known as Correct Communications, which Cirrus acquired for up to $5 million in November 2017. Correct Communications ranked fifth in the 2016 CRN Fast50 after nearly tripling revenue to reach $9.7 million.
