Cirrus Networks has scored a $3 million service contract with ASX-listed independent oil and gas provider Woodside Petroleum.
The managed services provider will supply its Operational Technology Cyber Resilience Program for an 18-month period.
Cirrus group executive Grahame Gilson told CRN that the program is a collection of work that aims to reduce the cyber security risks for Woodside's Industrial Control Systems, which are responsible for controlling and safeguarding its oil and gas operational facilities.
The program is part of a broader multi-year OT project team, which is delivering a cyber security program aligned to IEC 62443 – formerly known as ISA 99 – the global standard for the security of Industrial Control System (ICS) networks.
“Cirrus strives to work with tier 1 clients such as Woodside and we are very pleased to have won this competitive tender and to partner with Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company,” Cirrus managing director Matt Sullivan said in a statement.
“It again highlights our position as a market leader through investment and commitment to this fast growing strategic OT/Cyber Security segment of the market.”
Perth-based Woodside operates oil and gas exploration, development and operating activities in Australia and globally, including a number of liquefied natural gas projects and the operations of the Enfield and Vincent offshore oil fields.
Earlier this month, CRN awarded Cirrus the CRN Fast50 Leader Award for being the largest company on the Fast50 list this year, after turning over $76.1 million in the 2018 financial year.
