Cirrus Networks appoints L7 Solutions co-founder as MD
Frank Richmond

ASX-listed integrator Cirrus Networks has announced that L7 Solutions co-founder Matt Sullivan will step up as managing director later this year.

At the company's next annual general meeting, current managing director Frank Richmond will switch to executive director of Cirrus, which placed No.3 in the 2015 CRN Fast50.

“Matt’s proven track record in this sector and intimate knowledge of the L7 business make him the obvious choice to helm Cirrus through its next stage of growth,” said Richmond.

“Matt brings a level of industry experience with him that will be critical to our success as the Cirrus business matures and becomes more complex.”

Richmond will focus on sales and business development for Cirrus and will continue working with Sullivan during the transition period.

Sullivan was a founding partner of L7 Solutions, a company Cirrus acquired last year for $500,000. L7 had been sold to Amcom for $15 million in 2011, then was briefly part of Amcom's sale to Vocus.

Upon the Cirrus acquisition, Sullivan became a non-executive director of the publicly listed solutions provider, and is now "is expected to formally take up the position of executive director in the next few weeks", according to a company statement.

“Frank has built an impressive business in an incredibly short period of time,” said Sullivan. “I’m excited to be working with him and the rest of the team as we consolidate our achievements to date and position Cirrus for future growth.”

9.30pm Friday 4 February AEST: updated to clarify that Matt Sullivan will take the MD role following the next AGM, and Frank Richmond will remain executive director of Cirrus.
