CI-ISAC Australia, a not-for-profit organisation providing cyber threat intelligence sharing services to owners and operators of Australia’s Critical Infrastructure, has brought forward the closing date of an application it has out in-market to add a non-executive director to its board.
The move to close applications end of day today (18 July) was made due to what the organisation said was "an overwhelming response of applications".
The organisation said that the new non-executive director will play a key role in guiding the organisation’s strategy, overseeing risk and governance, supporting financial oversight and helping to ensure strong leadership.
"This presents as a significant opportunity for suitable candidates to play a part in growing a significant national capability that is on the front lines helping build the cyber resilience of critical infrastructure companies," CI-ISAC Australia said in the job advertisement.
Board members will from time to time also be required to interact with members and prospective members, and to support business development and marketing activities.
The organisation is seeking individuals with "strong professional skills" and demonstrated experience in business leadership (CEO or C-suite), preferably from within the Critical Infrastructure sector.
CI-ISAC Australia was founded in 2023, and in 2024, partnered with Cloudflare to provide Australian GP clinics with zero trust security for free.
Earlier this year, the organisation was granted $6.4 million by the Australian government to establish a new health-focused cyber security information-sharing network amid rising concerns over healthcare data breaches.
CI-ISAC Australia's self-declared vision is "to be the preferred cyber intelligence sharing platform for Australian Critical Infrastructure entities and a key cyber security partner for the Government."
