Christina Igasto, the chief digital officer of Service NSW, has announced she is leaving the agency to take up the inaugural role of Director-General of Digital Canberra.
Digital Canberra is a new directorate within the ACT Government and is responsible for digital services; technology and data planning; data safety and sharing; digital health; designing services with the community; and digital skills in government.
Igasto joined Service NSW in July of 2024, and at the same time, joined the NSW Government ICT and Digital Governance and Decision Committee.
Prior to this, she was at NSW Health for over four years, serving on the NSW Health AI Taskforce while serving in such roles as executive director of program delivery, as well as chief digital health officer and CIO.
"Over the past two years, it has been a privilege to work alongside the incredibly creative, dedicated and problem-solving teams at Service NSW, always placing the community’s needs and experience at the centre of everything we do," Igasto said in a post on LinkedIn.
"I look forward to continuing this important work in the ACT, leading Digital Canberra and supporting frontline and the delivery of seamless, innovative and trusted digital services for the community across government. I am excited about the opportunity ahead and to work alongside colleagues across the ACT Government to deliver meaningful outcomes for the community."
