Cybersecurity vendor Trend Micro has named Chris Zamagias as its new head of partnerships and alliances, for its Australia and New Zealand commercial business.
Zamagias will work with Srujan Talakokkula, who was himself promoted to lead Trend Micro's commercial business as managing director, in February this year.
At Trend Micro, Zamagias will support, build and nurture partners and resellsers in the ANZ region.
He is moving from Juniper Networks, where he spent over seven years, with his last position being alliance manager. Prior to Juniper, Zamagias also worked for F5 Networks, and did a stint at McAfee Australia before that.
Talakokkula said Zamagias' extensive experience in developing and managing communities across the region will be an invaluable addition to Trend Micro's business. The cybersecurity vendor is focusing on treating its partners as an extension of its own team, while supporting them with resources to maximise growth and competence.
“I pride myself on identifying opportunities and implementing programs to grow business opportunities, so look forward to working with partners to garner mutual success in improving cyber resiliency of businesses across Australia and New Zealand," Zamagias said.
The cybersecurity vendor has a revamped global partner program for Zamagias, designed to accelerate business growth and to deliver value to customers.
Its managed security services partner program, buitl around the Trend Vision One platform, managed 60 per cent growth year-on-year, Talakokkula told CRN Australia in May,
Trend Micro has added ANZ staff, including Andrew Philip as its platform strategy director, Martyn Beal as federal government lead, and Chelsea Docherty as the NSW enterprise business lead.
Meanwhile, Luke Stephenson was named the WA, SA, and QLD enterprise lead and Michael Basha the ANZ mid-market lead.
