Avaya and Extreme Networks are planning to give small-medium sized businesses (SMBs) a converged network and IP telephony solution, and will use Channelworxs to distribute the product.
From July, ChannelWorx, a joint Avaya and Extreme distribution partner, will carry the combined product set, giving even very small businesses an easy, affordable way to take advantage of advanced, secure IP-based communications to improve productivity, customer service and other business processes.
Jamie Romanin, regional channel manager, small and midsize business at Avaya South Pacific said the products will be available as a packaged bundle.
“This is the first time Avaya and Extreme Networks have collaborated in Australia and we are confident SMBs will see the value of this offer from two of the leaders in the convergence and infrastructure spaces,” he said.
“Working with ChannelWorx to penetrate the local market is an excellent fit for both Avaya and Extreme Networks as both companies have an established relationship with this distributor and trust ChannelWorx for its depth of experience in working with Australian data resellers in the SMB marketplace.”
The converged solution will combine Avaya IP Office, an award-winning communications solution created for small to midsize businesses, with Extreme Networks’ Summit series of versatile network edge switches, said Romanin.
“The latest Avaya IP Office suite includes remote diagnostics and support for SIP-based services, and an IP telephony solution for both single and multi-site deployments.
The Extreme Network switches provide bandwidth management to help ensure clear, consistent IP voice calls, simple management from a central location, and integrated security and service recovery features for business continuity,” he said.
Resellers will be offered special pricing on Extreme Networks Summit 200 (24 and 48 ports), 300 (24 ports) X250e (24 and 48 ports) and X450e (24 and 48 ports) series edge switches when purchased with an Avaya IP Office, said Romanin.
“The agreement enables SMBs to purchase a high quality, end-to-end converged communication system from authorised Avaya and Extreme Networks resellers at significantly reduced rates,” he said.
