Channel partners drive strong Veeam results

Data protection company Veeam has announced a strong year of growth in Australia with a 50 percent improvement in total revenue bookings for Q3 2013. The company's APAC customer base is now more than 5000 and its global customer base to over 80,000.

Veeam has also increased the number of ProPartners – their channel partner program – in the APAC region to 1,881 with 1,035 of those in Australia. The worldwide partner base now exceeds 20,000 ProPartners.

Version 7 of the software introduced two innovations – Built-in WAN acceleration and backup from storage snapshots as well as raft of new features and enhancements. The release was supported by a national road show for Veaam's partners.

Don Williams, regional director APAC at Veeam, said "we have also been investing heavily in our inside sales team to improve lead flow management and our engagement with our channel partners".

Williams added the release of version 7 has resulted in a "greater uptake of our Veeam Backup Management Suite which has helped increase the average value of each purchase".
