Canon appoints new Australian MD
Taz Nakamasu

Canon has promoted three of it Australian & New Zealand executives.

Most notably, Taz Nakamasu, managing director for Australia & Oceania, has been promoted to an executive officer position in Japan.

During his four years with Canon, Nakamasu was been responsible for a number of Canon Australia's innovations. This includes the acquisition of Harbour IT and SunStudios.

“I am extremely humbled by the opportunity I have been given to lead Canon Oceania for the last four years,” said Nakamasu. “During this time I have worked with some extremely talented people that have supported the achievements that we as a business have made.”

Nakamasu’s role will be filled by Yusuke Mizoguchi, managing director of Canon New Zealand. He will also assume Nakamasu’s other roles, including chairman of Canon New Zealand and Canon Information Systems Research Australia.

The two appointments will come into effect as of 1 April.

Mizoguchi’s former role will be taken by Kim Conner, general manager for Canon New Zealand. She has been with Canon New Zealand for seven years, and will be the first female managing director for Canon in the Oceanic region.
