CA Technologies has appointed senior sales director Jon Gamble to lead its partner business as well as direct sales for the software vendor’s southern territory, as Kevin Van Gils departs the role after seven years with the company.
Gamble will take on the role of senior director of sales partners and alliances for Australia and New Zealand.
“CA is an exciting place to be right now. Nearly all of our customers and partners are digitally remastering their businesses, each with their own unique story. Yet they all have one thing in common – they’re all in the software business," Gamble said.
“CA is also on its own transformation journey challenging industry leaders to discover how their businesses can win in a world where everything is constantly changing. What’s exciting is CA, together with our partners, can help them do that – we can help them turn their ideas into outcomes.“
CA Technologies ANZ managing director Janice Cox said: “Jon has a wealth of partner experience, which will continue to drive our transformation from direct sales to one of greater partner engagement.
"As our goal is to increase our partner focus, having a sales director responsible for direct sales and partner sales ensures that the best interests of partners are upheld when we are considering the go to market approach for every sales opportunity.
"I would like to thank Kevin for his hard work and dedication to growing our partner business over the last few years and on behalf of the CA ANZ team, I wish him all the best for the future."
Gamble joined CA in August this year from Victorian IT solution provider CDM, where was the general manager. His previous roles include general manager of Perth-based system integrator DSC-IT and sales positions at Insight, Data#3 and IBM.
Van Gils departs CA for Google's Australian and New Zealand cloud business, a role he will commence in January 2018.
He joined CA as a senior account director at the Melbourne office in January 2010, before taking up the channel chief role in December 2014. His previous positions include territory manager at NetIQ and business development manager for Macquarie Telecom.
CA Technologies has enjoyed a number of strong partnerships in 2017, including delivering a new API management system to Service NSW in partnership with Versent at the beginning of the year, a SaaS deal with the Melbourne local council City of Whittlesea, and other local government projects expected to be revealed next year.
