Bunnings gets serious about online electronics

Hardware giant Bunnings has delivered its promise to make its warehouse catalogue available for online purchasing online by Christmas, revealing that it is selling electronics in addition to homewares and of course hardware..

Dubbed Bunnings MarketLink, the non-catalogue reseller play pipes a gaggle of products from non-hardware category competitors through Bunnings’ already massive online presence to essentially offer-up the jolly green juggernaut as a one-stop emporium.

So far, the MarketLink electronics offers are modest - there's a modest collection of audio and video kit that is more of a threat to the likes of K-Mart than JB Hi-Fi or Harvey Norman.

But the hardware heavyweight has also shown it has the capacity to compete with the likes of Kogan, Catch and Amazon for some products, And none of those outfits sell cheap sausages to distract the kids.
