Bulletproof founder Anthony Woodward has taken to LinkedIn to unveil his new venture since selling his company to AC3 last year.
The new company is called Accelera Group, and while details are scant at the moment, Woodward said it would focus on digital transformation and automation.
Woodward told CRN that the plan was to build a company that could scale up, rather than going down the boutique consultancy route.
"We'll be focusing on organisations that see the need to engage with customers either to keep them or grow a new customer base," he said.
"It will be the right technology for the right outcome, and that really suits the midmarket who are often bogged down when it comes to technical alignment that their partners work with when most organisations have a mix of technologies."
Woodward also outlined his intentions with the new venture on LinkedIn, explaining the gap he identified in the digital transformation market.
"I have confirmed during my 18 years at Bulletproof before its acquisition by AC3 that digital transformation is a hugely exciting space, with the potential to deliver business-changing outcomes in response to new buying behaviours and differently-driven customers engaging within their connected lives; but the approaches being taken within the industry range from day-rate consultancy (often without a tangible outcome) through to simply moving a manual process to a SaaS product without improving the customer experience, and everything in between - with a few very exciting exceptions."
Woodward founded cloud services provider Bulletproof back in 2000 and listed the company on the ASX 14 years later. In June last year, Woodward sold the company to AC3 for $24.7 million after a bidding war broke out between AC3 and Macquarie Telecom.
