To gain certification, BT met the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support highly sophisticated Cisco solutions worldwide.
Global Certification recognises Cisco partners with expertise and resources to plan, design, implement and operate Cisco networking solutions across the globe, said Edison Peres, senior vice president for worldwide channels at Cisco.
“As the network becomes the platform for fostering communications and innovation, many customers across geographic areas are demanding both an enhanced set of skills and capabilities and the ability to do business in more than one country,” said Peres.
While Cisco Select, Premier, Silver and Gold Certifications recognize expertise within a single country, the Global Certification recognizes partners who have extended this expertise across multiple geographic regions.
To achieve Global Certification, a channel partner must demonstrate its abilities to provide contracting, procurement, security and business continuity services across all continental regions around the world.
Allen Ma, president of BT Asia Pacific, said global certification allows BT to deploy Cisco solutions to customers wherever in the world they do business.
“BT provides the global connectivity to help multi-site organisations communicate and collaborate, any time, any place, through any device,” he said.
