Brisbane service provider Oper8 selects NextDC

Brisbane managed services provider Oper8 has selected NextDC's national data centre network for co-location services through virtual connectivity services on AXONVX.

Oper8 also sells subscriptions to OneDC Advanced Management, which was possible after it integrated its DCIM-as-a-service with NextDC's OneDC.

Oper8 managing director Mike Andrea said: "This is a great step in Oper8's growth and we’re looking forward to joint success in the Australian and New Zealand data centre marketplace."

According to NextDC, Oper8's customers will have complete a end-to-end IT solution and access to a secure and fast network across Australia and New Zealand.

The integration allows customers to combine its co-location and on-premises racks into a single online management tool.

"We were looking for data centre capabilities to extend our service offerings and NextDC has enabled us to do just that. Not only does AXONVX provide our customers with higher speed connectivity to our cloud storage platform, Elev8, we now have the ability to resell AXONVX as point-to-point connectivity," said Andrea.

"This means customers connect to our backup and replication solution in real-time with zero latency in retrieving their data."

He added that Oper8 customers have more opportunities for infrastructure consolidation with OneDC. "We've got the ability to offer the right service mix so our customers can keep their network within Australia and use insights into their data to make business-critical decisions."

Oper8 is leveraging NextDC's full suite of hosting, connectivity and remote management solutions. The service provider's customers are able to host their infrastructure in any of NextDC's data centres.
