Australian private hosting provider Emantra is bundling Microsoft Office 365 with services and support and selling it under a new brand, dubbed “Cloudable”.
The productised offer, aimed at small to medium sized businesses, combines Office 365 licences, local support, service management, "product enhancement" and compliance. Brisbane-headquartered Emantra developed the package under its new status as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner, having been appointed in February.
Ross Dewar, Emantra's founder, said: "Old-style servers physically located in offices present unnecessary cost and risk for small businesses. They’re no longer a viable option, particularly when you weigh up the benefits of Microsoft software that’s built on cloud-based services.
“Those organisations who want a Microsoft-centric IT future should begin thinking now about cloud transition.”
Dewar said the Office 365 bundle "sets us apart from the many 'cloud providers' out there today who are simply licence resellers”. The company will add Azure and Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite later in the year.
Cloudable’s Signature enhancement services – developed through government workshops – addressed Australian compliance needs and gaps not satisfied by the public cloud alone, he added. "Cloudable also offers a series of optional add-ons including an immediate hybrid capability. This allows businesses with non-Microsoft applications to complete a 100 percent transition to cloud computing with efficiency and confidence, and with 24-hour support from qualified Microsoft technicians.
“Cloudable is all about providing guidance and a mature local support system on new cloud services. Addressing what is otherwise a bewildering range of choices and an uncertain path for businesses, we’re confident our customers will be satisfied.”
Philip Goldie, Microsoft director of partner business and development, said: "We congratulate Cloudable on being named a Cloud Solution Provider partner. Cloudable will share Emantra's resource base and expertise in providing its own bundled support and some unique local compliance enhancements to Microsoft Office 365 and Azure corporate and government customers."
