Boomi launches sovereign integration platform option for Australia

Boomi has made its platform available within an Australian data centre for customers needing to retain data sovereignty.

The instance of the Boomi data integration platform is hosted in Sydney, which will allow customers to deploy log-based change data capture and near-real-time extract, load, and transform pipelines entirely within national borders.

This supports regulatory requirements under the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and sector-specific frameworks including APRA CPS 234 and the My Health Records Act.

Boomi’s customers span highly regulated industries including financial services, government, education, and healthcare.

Boomi Asia Pacific chief technology officer David Irecki said modern data tools, such as predictive models and real-time analytics, require high levels of data speed and security.

“In Australia, compliance is just as critical as speed, especially when you start to consider sectors like finance, government, and healthcare," he said.

With local deployment of Boomi Data Integration, we’re removing any compliance barriers to AI-related to data sovereignty, while giving our partners and end-users the near-real-time data capabilities they need to innovate.”

Boom recently acquired Rivery, an Israeli data integration company, for an estimated USD$100 million.
