Application acceleration product provider Blue Coat Systems is bringing new resellers on board following its recent acquisition of Network Appliance's NetCache business.
The vendor finalised its acquisition of NetCache on 11 September.
Blue Coat - formerly Cacheflow - has been operating in Australia for the past 12 months and has secured about 100 customers, including Telstra, the Department of Defence and the top four banks.
The company distributes through Firewall Systems and LAN Systems.
Wayne Niche, regional sales manager Australia and New Zealand at Blue Coat, said willing customers were expected to be transitioned over to Blue Coat's SG product line-up within the next few months.
"Network Appliance has always had a heavy direct model and it did use some resellers for services. We will give these resellers the opportunity to become value-added partners and will be entitled to provide a full spectrum of services to customers, from product sale, to implementation, to after-sales service," he said.
Blue Coat is also on the look-out for partners in general, and is demanding skills in both networking and security, preferably with Microsoft application experience, said Niche.
