Baidam co-founders Jack Reis and Phillip Jenkinson have announced a nationwide search for a managing director to lead the Australian Indigenous cybersecurity company into its next growth phase.

The newly created role will fill the management gap as both co-founders transition to executive director positions while maintaining the company's existing ownership structure.

The leadership change comes as Baidam continues to expand its operations after achieving significant recognition in the cybersecurity industry.

"Our incoming managing director will be charged with leading Baidam on its next phase of growth and expansion," Jenkinson said.

"Meanwhile, Jack and I will continue working on our national security business, creating innovative and diverse offerings to the local and international market, and actively championing our social impact initiatives at an executive level," he added.

Since its establishment in 2018, Baidam has built an impressive record of industry accolades and achievements.

Baidam was a finalist in the ESG category in the 2024 Impact Awards.

Its clients include ASX 200 companies and government departments at local, state, and federal levels.

"Our significant growth is being driven by customers who are consciously investing in Baidam to provide both a business and a social outcome in line with the ESG and CSR aspirational targets of ASX listed companies, education providers and Government clientele," Jenkinson said.

The company reinvests more than 50 percent of its annual profits to create new pathways into IT employment for Indigenous and First Nations People.

Reis and Jenkinson emphasised that the appointment comes at a time when Baidam consistently outperforms expectations in the ICT sector.

"We are excited to be making this move from a position of strength," Jenkinson said.

"It's a celebration and acknowledgement of how well Baidam has done that we can confidently hand the management reins over to a new generation," he said.
