Avnet's A/NZ resellers to get Hitachi GST hard drives

The distributor has the full range of Hitachi hard drive products, alongside three existing Hitachi GST distributors in the region - Altech Computers, Legend (Australasia) and Datastor (NZ).

It will make available the complete Hitachi hard disk drive product portfolio, which includes the following brands; Travelstar -storage for notebook PCs and other mobile applications;

Deskstar - designed for use in desktop computers, PC gaming, surveillance systems and entry-server applications;

Ultrastar - enterprise server and storage applications; and CinemaStar - power management and quiet operation for digital video applications.

KP Tang president of Avnet Technology Solutions- Asia Pacific, said, the relationship with the vendor gives it the opportunity to expand its growing business in A/NZ.

"We will introduce Hitachi's leading HDD products to a broader range of customers, accelerate time to market, and support Hitachi's leading position in this region," he said.
