Enterprise CX company Avaya named Phil Zammit as group vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Greater China and India.
Zammit will be based in Sydney, and joins Avaya with extensive experience in CX leadership.
He joins from Canada's TELUS International, and held senior roles at Zoom, Cisco, AWS and Telstra prior to Avaya.
In his new role at Avaya, Zammit will focus on strengthening the company's relationships with customers and partners.
He will leverage his APAC-specific expertise to expand Avaya's leadership in the Enterprise CX category.
"The APAC theatre is a hotbed for innovation, however that is happening at different speeds with varying priorities in each nation – dictated by policy and compliance, consumer habits, and economic needs," said Zammit.
Over the past two years, Avaya has successfully completed a recapitalisation and a strategic reset of its customer value proposition and brand promise.
The company has recently embarked on an extensive transformation, focusing on revitalising its culture, bolstering its executive leadership team, and upgrading talent throughout the organisation.
Avaya has continued to innovate its cloud communications and services portfolio, including the Avaya Experience Platform.
The company has delivered on its product roadmaps and set a path forward to become a leader in Enterprise CX.
