The Australian boss of Microsoft consulting giant Avanade is moving to a new role after six years.
Jeyan Jeevaratnam, Avanade Australia general manager, is shifting to the position of chief growth officer for the Asia-Pacific region. Sarah Adam-Gedge will become the new Australia general manager, as a corporate vice president.
"Sarah is a well-regarded thought leader in the technology community. She is known for her customer focus, ability to operate in complex collaborative environments, and for her support of women in technology," said Avanade's Asia-Pacific area president, Ian Jordan.
Adam-Gedge has been recruited from IBM's consulting arm Global Business Services, where she was partner and vice president for the Asia-Pacific region. Before her 12-year stint at IBM, Adam-Gedge was a managing partner at PwC Consulting.
Jeevaratnam's new regional role will see him "leading the cross-functional Asia-Pacific team of sales, sales enablement, marketing, alliances, innovation and growth & strategy", according to a statement from Avanade.
Jordan said: "Jeyan has done a phenomenal job in driving Avanade Australia's growth and his move represents a significant step for our business as we accelerate the APAC growth agenda."
Avanade was founded in 2000 as a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft. The company employs 22,000 staff in more than 20 countries.
