The three new products for Mac OS X are Autodesk Toxik, Autodesk Mudbox and Autodesk ImageModeler.
“Given the growing adoption of Mac OS X and the production requirements of the Mac community, we’re excited to offer these premiere creative tools to Mac artists,” said Stig Gruman, Digital Entertainment Group vice president, Autodesk Media & Entertainment.
“Autodesk’s product offerings will empower artistic vision and provide Mac users with the tools to bring their creative ideas to life.”
Autodesk Toxik is a digital compositing software that integrates compositing and effects into 2D visual effects.
"Mac OS X Leopard, combined with our powerful Mac hardware, offers creative and design specialists a compelling platform for creating everything from stunning 2D visual effects to advanced 3D models for digital entertainment," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.
“We're thrilled that Autodesk is expanding its Mac 2D and 3D software offerings for our creative professionals."
Autodesk Mudbox is an application for painting, texturing and re-touching 3D models.
Mudbox software gives 3D modellers, artists and designers the freedom to create without worrying about technical details.
Autodesk ImageModeler is an image-based modelling and photogrammetry software that generates 3D models from photographs.
