Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) has invited IT partners to an information session about its planned digital transformation of the nation's health infrastructure.
In a notice published on 27 June 2024, ADHA said it looking to source solutions and services to support its next phase of digital transformation.
"The Agency intends to continue to transform national infrastructure and move to a contemporary, structured data-rich ecosystem capable of connecting systems across settings and supporting real-time access to information for the patient and the broader care team – anywhere, anytime," ADHA said in the notice.
In December 2024, CRN Australia spoke to several technology providers about the need for digital transformation at the nation's hospitals and medical practices due to overburdened workforces, privacy and security risks.
ADHA outlined that it aims to evolve the national health infrastructure to "drive information sharing and advance real time data exchange," and ensure alignment with consumer consent and privacy and cybersecurity standards.
"People should not have to retell their health story. Their key information should follow them and, should they wish, be available to the whole care team across primary care, allied care, hospital care and aged care," ADHA said
The two-hour session will take place on 15 July 2024 in Canberra.
