Microsoft is experiencing its third cloud outage in Australia this week, and has another global mess on its hands too.
The first cloud outage was a November 19th hosted mail problem that started in Australia and then spread to other nations in the Asia-Pacific region.
The next day came a big one: a global Office 365 outage that took out Teams, Sharepoint, Visual Studio and more. Microsoft attributed that one to a networking configuration change gone bad.
Microsoft has described the new outage as “an event impacting Azure DevOps where hosted builds are currently delayed. The event is being triaged and we will post an update as soon as we know more.” The outage is an Australia-only affair in Azure Pipelines.
The problem was first acknowledged at 10:39 AM and a new advisory at 11:33AM reported “Our engineers have become aware of an issue affecting one of our partner teams which is causing delays in hosted build. We are actively working with the partner team to resolve the issue.”
Those efforts clearly aren’t going particularly well, because a 3:19PM report says “Our engineers continue to work on mitigating this issue by increasing the machine count in the pool. We currently don't have an estimated time for resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.”
Microsoft’s also got problems with SharePoint and One Drive for Business.
We're investigating an issue in which users may be experiencing intermittent delays or errors when attempting to access SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business. Additional details can be found in the admin center under SP196346 and OD196347.

That issue was ten hours old at the time of writing.
Good luck for the weekend, Microsoft engineers. And good luck, too, to CRN readers who rely on their efforts.
UPDATE: 5:45PM SUNDAY NOVEMBER 24th
Microsoft resolved the Azure Pipeline issue at 5:10PM on Friday, November 22nd.
