Aussie Salesforce partner Sqware Peg has been acquired by US-based Salesforce partner Simplus as it expands further into the Asia Pacific region.
Sqware Peg said it was Salesforce’s first Australian partner, specialising in the software platform since its inception in 2004. The company has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
Simplus specialises in quote-to-cash implementations, the integration and automated management of end-to-end business processes on the sell side.
“Sqware Peg is a pioneer in the APAC region,” Simplus chief executive Ryan Westwood said.
“We are thrilled to work with the talented leadership of Sqware Peg and combine forces to further grow our presence and continue making an impact in the global Salesforce marketplace.”
As part of the acquisition, Sqware Peg managing director Reid Meldrum will be a top Simplus shareholder.
“I am thankful for the opportunity I had almost four years ago to lead Sqware Peg through to this next phase of growth,” Meldrum said.
“Simplus brings another level of resources to help Sqware Peg continue to thrive in the growing Salesforce ecosystem in Australia.”
“We’re excited about what the future holds for Simplus in Australia, as we will be able to expand our current offering to include innovative quote-to-cash solutions.”
Both Simplus and Sqware Peg are also backed by Salesforce Ventures, Salesforce’s investment arm. Sqware Peg is also Simplus’ first international acquisition and sixth Salesforce partner acquisition since 2016.
