Australian exporter Opengear is aiming to ramp up its ANZ presence, hiring former senior accounts manager for QBT Consulting, Brendan Walsh.
Walsh enters the company to assist with its reworking of local strategy amid successes in other parts of the world.
"Last year we achieved over 50 percent growth in the USA and 70 percent in EMEA," said Opengear CEO Rick Stevenson. "With our home advantage and Brendan’s experience and contacts, we expect him to drive the same level of success here."
Walsh has also held positions with RealHub, Sysware Consulting and Avocent ANZ.
"I aim to use my skills to enhance Opengear’s sales channels in Australia and New Zealand, so that we can achieve the same success in our home region that we are in international markets," said Walsh.
"What particularly excites me is that Opengear overcomes the tyranny of distance that plagues Australia by providing a range of easy-to-use and cost-effective remote management tools."
