Speaking to CRN at the AusCERT security conference in the Gold Coast, Craig Clegg channel business development manager said the company is now looking to build a local channel.
"We are using our current reseller base which includes Sydney-based reseller Sense of Security but we are also looking to build a channel in Australia for the products," said Clegg.
inTechnology is distributing Absolute Software's full range of products including Computrace a small software agent which can be deployed on mobile devices to track and monitor the whereabouts of mobile devices.
According to Clegg, if a mobile device is lost or stolen the software allows the device to be tracked and sensitive data can be deleted remotely while Police are also contacted.
Commenting on the importance of mobile security, Clegg said, it's a huge area for security especially since the amount of data companies store today. "There are huge ramifications to reputations if the data is lost," said Clegg.
The agent is currently on 3.3 million clients worldwide, claimed Clegg.
The products are available now.
