Atlassian Cloud assessed at IRAP PROTECTED level

Development collaboration tools vendor Atlassian has completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program - IRAP - at the PROTECTED classification.

The information security classification allows Australian government agencies and organisations that support them to use Atlassian's cloud products, ensuring their security requirements are met.

"As a company that was born in Australia, we’re thrilled that this allows even more of our Australian customers to take advantage of our cloud products and unleash the potential of their teams", David Masters, head of global policy at Atlassian said.

Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management Cloud are covered by the assessment.

In March, the company said its Government Cloud had achieved the United States Federal Risk and Authorisation Management Program (FedRAMP) at the moderate level.

The authorisation allows Atlassian's public sector customers in the US who currently uses its data centre to migrate to the cloud, to reduce server maintenance costs and to get the latest innovations from the company.
