ATech delivers aeronautical portal for Airservices Australia

Brisbane-based cloud hosting and web development company ATech has delivered an aeronautical data originator (ADO) portal for Airservices Australia.

Government-owned Airservices Australia is responsible for managing 11 per cent of the world’s airspace and providing aviation rescue fire fighting services at Australia’s busiest airports.

It is tasked with the collection, management and distribution of aeronautical data essential to ensuring safe and efficient air navigation throughout Australia.

The ADO portal offers a new self-managed, digitised and modernised method of aeronautical data and information collection.

It is now being rolled out to 1000 aeronautical data originators at 600 organisations across the country, including airports, military operators and government services.

“ATech has worked with all levels of the government for many years. We invest in deeply understanding our clients' needs and have the technical expertise to deliver high quality results, on time and within budget," ATech's MD Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann said.

"The feedback we receive from clients is that they really appreciate our responsiveness. It’s what sets us apart.

“The ADO portal is a web-based, streamlined and customer-centric solution for how aeronautical information is collected, updated and stored.

"Its key benefits include reducing manual processes and ensuring accurate information to aviation users.”

In addition to Airservices Australia, ATech has built and hosted websites and web apps for organisations including Virgin Australia, Seqwater and Brisbane City Council.

“We threw a big challenge at the ATech team, to help us design and build a user-friendly aeronautical data collection portal from scratch," Airservices Australia's AIS data integrity manager David Foster said.

“The collaborative design work and agile development approach adopted by ATech was one of the key factors contributing to the successful build and deployment of the Airservices ADO Portal.

"With over 1000 users currently registered and using the ADO Portal, we’re incredibly proud to offer this new service milestone."

"The portal improves our service offering and creates better outcomes for the aviation industry.”
