Asus will launch its Transformer Pad Infinity in Australia in August, in line with a global release.
The laptop/tablet hybrid was first unveiled at CES in January, with Asus touting it as the first Android tablet with a full HD (1920 x 1200) screen.
The Transformer Infinity comes with a QWERTY keyboard dock, converting it from a tablet to a notebook as well as boosting the battery.
Asus claims the dock-attached Transformer Pad Infinity offers up to 14 hours constant use battery life, and 9.5 hours without it.
The device packs a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8MP camera, and USB and SD card ports.
It is coated in Corning Gorilla Glass and is 8.5mm thick, running on Android's Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
The Transformer Infinity will retail in 32GB and 64GB configurations, for $799 and $999 respectively.
The 64GB model will be available in August with the 32Gb model to follow in September.
