Aria Technologies diversifies with Check Point deal

Unified communications specialist distributor Aria Technologies has diversified its practice by signing up with security vendor Check Point Software.

Check Point managing director Scott McKinnel said Aria has specifically been appointed as the vendor’s “SMB distributor of choice,” due to its position expertise in those markets.

“Their market share, extensive and skilled partner channel, and strong collaboration with Australia’s leading telecommunication carrier made this an easy choice for us.”

Check Point’s portfolio includes hardware and software security solutions such as network security, cloud, endpoint, mobile and security management products. Which may not at first glance seem a good fit for a UC specialist.

Check Point said in a media release that the partnership solidified Aria’s diversification into cyber security and associated managed services.

“We are delighted to have been selected as a distributor by a key global player in Check Point,” said Aria CEO Chris Karagiannis.

“Our developing portfolio of ICT solutions required a strong and reliable cyber security supplier and our partnership with Check Point will help secure our customers future.”

Aria joins a growing list of Check Point disties in Australia, including Dicker Data, who was signed on earlier in November. Check Point’s other local disties are Westcon-Comstor and Orca Tech.
