Applecentre Taylor Square proprietor Ben Morgan is set to open a large retail store at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
Morgan has received “sign-off” from Apple to build the three-storey retail shop at the entrance to the massive Westfield shopping centre.
Speaking to CRN, Morgan said the store would include two retail floors and one service floor and what he described as “learning labs.”
Inside, the store would have a “glass and steel atrium” and lift access, he said.
Morgan had started taking delivery of furnishings and was waiting on final council approval for the megastore.
It appears that Apple has done a backflip in approving the store as proposals earlier this year were squashed by the vendor due to concerns over credit limits, Morgan said in January.
At the time, Morgan had put further retail expansion on hold in favour of a services-driven growth strategy.
Apple was not available for comment at the time of press.
