Appian opens Melbourne office to support Australian growth

Cloud computing and enterprise software vendor Appian has opened a new office in Melbourne.

The company said the new office located in the 100 Queen Street development in Melbourne's CBD is designed to support Appian’s growing team and will serve as hub for enhancing customer and partner engagement.

Appian’s Australian customers include the likes of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, MinterEllison, Westpac, AGL, Belong, the NSW Department of Justice, and the Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) in Victoria.

"Our remarkable growth in the Australian market, evidenced by a 69 percent increase in business from our partners in 2023 over 2022, signifies the value our platform brings to businesses aiming for digital excellence,” said Luke Thomas, area VP for Asia Pacific & Japan at Appian.

“Our new Melbourne office not only brings us closer to our customers and partners in the southern region, but also serves as a beacon of our commitment to driving digital innovation and process excellence."

Appian said it has recently seen "significant uptake" from a new tranche of strategic partners including Accenture, Conexxia, Deloitte, DXC, EY, KPMG, Roboyo, Seers, Via Appia, and Xebia.

“In the past three years, we have increased Appian Australia headcount 175 percent,” said Thomas.

“Our Melbourne office investment further-underscores Appian’s dedication to the region and our belief in the potential of this market.”

“The Appian team has demonstrated a strong commitment to our success. Their proactive approach to problem-solving, regular communication, and ongoing support have made them more than just a vendor. They are a true partner in our digital transformation journey,” said Darryl Slabe, program director of digital transformation at the OPP.
